From the List or Calendar
- Right-click on the Client in the list and select Invoice Client or select and press SHIFT+I
- Entity and Location populate from the Appointment
- Item Codes will populate from either the Appointment Type or the selected Standard Procedure
- Item Codes can be added
- Item Codes can be deleted by highlighting the row and pressing Delete on the keyboard
Private Rate
- The Fee is populated from the Private Rate selected in Utilities - Entities - Location - Location Rates
- The Fee can be overtyped per line item, or
- Overtype the Total Fee, or
- Overtype the Total Out-of-pocket (OOP)
Patient Claim
- The Date of Service (DOS) for Patient Claims must be within 2 years
- Transmitting a Patient Claim from an unpaid invoice results in a cheque for the rebate/benefit being generated by Medicare
- This button can be hidden from the invoice, so that Patient Claims are only transmitted from the Receipt where the patient will receive their rebate/benefit to their nominated bank account
- On transmitting a Patient Claim, a Statement of Claim or Lodgement Advice will appear on screen and auto saved to Client Record - Communications. This can be emailed to the Patient or printed
- A Statement of Claim signals that Medicare has approved this claim
- A Lodgement Advice signals that Medicare is assessing this claim. The patient may have reached their safety net
Receipt OOP
- Select the Receipt drop-down to Receipt OOP ONLY
- Select the Receipt button or the drop-down to Receipt Whole Amount
- Select Payment Method
- No need to select Allocate if paying Whole Amount
- Select Patient Claim to lodge the claim
- Select Email to email the Payer
Bulk Bill
- The Date of Service (DOS) for Bulk Bill must be within 12 months
- Change Rate to Bulk Bill
- Select Bulk Bill on the sidebar to transmit
DVA
- If the Client has DVA cover entered in Client Record - Insurance, the DVA In Room and DVA In Hospital Rates will be available to select
- Select DVA on the sidebar to transmit
Pension/HCC
- If Pension/HCC details entered in Client Insurance (the word YES will suffice) and the Entity has Pension/HCC Rate selected in Location Rates, this Rate is available to select
Insured
- If Private Insurance or other Third-Party detail is entered in Client Insurance and the Entity has Insured Rate selected in Location Rates, this Rate is available to select, and the Payer is the Insurer/Company
Medico-Legal
- If Medico-Legal detail is entered in Client Insurance, the Rate will be Private, and the Solicitor can be selected as the Payer
WorkCover
- If WorkCover details is entered in Client Insurance and the Entity has WorkCover Rate selected in Location Rates, this Rate is available to select, and the Payer is the WorkCover Agent
Statuses
- The Appointment Status changes to Invoiced when Invoiced
- The Appointment Status changes to Receipted when Receipted
- The Claim Status changes to Transmitted when successfully transmitted
