The Proceduralist's List
This can be imported. However, to date, all report that by the time they ensure detail is correct, it is easier and quicker to just enter data directly and verify.
Adding the List in DCM
- In The Control Center - List View, select in the panel at the top
- Anaesthetist/Entity
- Location
- Referrer/Surgeon
- Hospital
- Date of Service
- This detail will then auto populate the booking and flow through to the Informed Financial Consent and then to the Invoice thus saving you data entry
- Select Add to List
- The Search Client form will appear
- Search first should the Client Record already be in DCM
- If not in DCM, select Add on the Sidebar of the Search form to create a new client record and enter their detail ... Clients – Direct CONTROL Medical (DCM)
- Close and Save and you are returned to the Appointment form

- Continue adding all to the List for the day
Verification
- Click on one row to highlight
- Press CTRL+A to select all on the list
- Right-Click and select Verify Patients ... Patient Verification – Direct CONTROL Medical (DCM)
Generate an Informed Financial Consent (IFC)
- Right-click on the booking and select Informed Financial Consent
- The item codes will populate if a Standard Procedure had been selected on the booking
- Select Charge OOP if charging an Out-Of-Pocket
- In The Control Center - List View, select in the panel at the top
- Select Print and you will be prompted with the following
- To save the IFC as a PDF in Client Communication
- Allow the client to view the IFC on their portal
- Word will launch with the IFC template that can be edited. For some, the Word icon on the Taskbar will flash for you to select
- Close and Save
- The Appointment Status will change to IFC Issued
Prepayments
- A Prepayment can be taken prior to the procedure ... Medical Billing Prepayments – Direct CONTROL Medical (DCM)
- The Appointment Status will change to Prepayment Taken
Generate an Invoice
Convert an IFC to an Invoice
- Right-click on the Client in List or Calendar View and select Invoice Client
- Should there be an IFC, you are prompted to Convert to Invoice
- Key in the Start time and press Tab to key in the End Time of the Procedure
- The Time Unit Item Code will update, if different to the IFC, and the description will update
- Select other additional fields if necessary and Calculate
Create an Invoice
- Right-click on the Client in List or Calendar View and select Invoice Client
- Key in the Start time and press Tab to key in the End Time of the Procedure
- Tab to the Item Code field and key in the anatomical item code
- Select other additional fields if necessary and Calculate
Hold the Invoice
- If not transmitting the claim directly from the invoice, select Hold on the sidebar
- The Appointment Status will change to Invoice Held
- Staff can confirm that detail is correct before transmitting the claim
Transmit the Claim
- Claims can be transmitted directly from the Invoice
- One Invoice is One Claim for ease of management

Allocate the Prepayment
- After transmitting the Claim, right-click on the Prepayment in Client Transactions and select Allocate, or
- Right-click on the invoice and select Receipt from Client. The unallocated Prepayment is at the bottom of the Receipt form to select to allocate
