The ‘Grid View’ feature is quite powerful and can be customised per team member.

How the Grids work
You can customise each grid view on each form by:
- Resizing columns or right-clicking on a column heading and selecting 'Best Fit'
- Dragging columns to the order you require
- Hiding columns, you do not want to view by right-clicking and selecting Hide Column or dragging it to the Column Chooser window
- If you want to view all columns, you can Pin (lock) Columns on the left-hand side
- Sort in ascending or descending order
- Group your view by columns
- Filter to show only what you want to see or use to Search for detail
- Select rows for better management
- Right-click on any heading to view options
- Sort Ascending
- Sort Descending
- Clear Sorting
- Conditional Formatting
- Group by this column
- Column Chooser
- Hide Column
- Pinned State
- Best Fit
Saving your Grid View settings
- After making changes, remember to save otherwise these changes will be lost the next time you open this form
- Press [CTRL+S] to save
- To save for all users, then press [CTRL+D] for default settings
Resizing columns or select 'Best Fit'
- Point with the mouse to the vertical line (|) between each column and your pointer will change to a double headed arrow. When this occurs, hold down the left mouse button and drag the column to the size you want
- You can also right-click on the column heading and select 'Best Fit', or
- Just press CTRL+B to 'best fit' all columns
Dragging columns to the order you require
- Point to the column heading (e.g.: Phone) and drag to its new position
Hiding / Showing Columns
- Right-click on a column heading and select 'Hide Column' or select 'Column Chooser' and drag the column heading into this form
- If a column is listed in this form, just drag it back to the grid to view
Sort in Ascending or Descending Order
- Right-click on the column you want to sort by and select the sorting order, or
- Just click on the column heading to sort
Pinning or Locking Columns
- If you want to view all columns, you can 'Pin' (lock) columns on the left or right hand side
- Right-click on the column you want to pin and select 'Pinned State'
Group your view by Columns
- To turn on and off the 'Group By: option', press [Ctrl+G]
- With the 'Group by:' visible, just drag the column heading into here
- Dragging other column headings will sub-group. This is good for management and reporting
Using Filters
- Filter to show only what you want to see or use to search for detail
- To turn on and off the 'Filter by:' option, press [Ctrl+F]. With the filters visible, just enter the detail you want to filter by or click on the filter to view more filter options
- Click on the Filter image to view and manage options
Count the number of lines in a grid
- Click on one line to select and then press ALT+L
Select all Rows
- Click on a row to select it
- With a row selected, press [Ctrl+A] to select all rows. You can then copy [Ctrl+C] and paste to Word or Excel [Ctrl+V]
- To select random rows, hold down the [Ctrl] key as you click on them
- To select a range of rows, click on the first (or last) and the hold down the [Shift] key when you click on the last (or first)
