DCM integrates with Active Directory
Active Directory (AD) is a directory service that Microsoft developed for Windows domain networks. It is included in most Windows Server operating systems as a set of processes and services.
You need to have:
- A fully qualified domain name (e.g. hospital.directcontrol.local - window login user would be user@hospital.directcontrol.local
- Users setup in AD
- Password CONTROL enabled with users setup in DCM
To enable Active Directory
- Go to Utilities - Configuration - Advanced (Support)
- Check Use LDAP authentication
- Key-in the fully qualified domain name
Then go to
- Utilities - User Roles
- Note the Domain User dropdown with active directory users listed
- Map the DC User with the Domain User
