DCM integrates with Active Directory now Microsoft Entra

Direct Control Medical (DCM) may prompt users with “Need admin approval” when trying to sign in with Microsoft accounts.
To allow users to sign in, the DCM app must be approved in Microsoft Entra?
Here are the steps:
- Sign in to the Microsoft Entra Admin Center https://entra.microsoft.com
- Go to Identity → Applications → Enterprise Applications
- In the top menu, select Admin consent requests (or Permissions → Admin consent requests, depending on the tenant)
- Look for the pending request from Direct Control Medical
- Review the requested permissions
- If everything looks correct, click Approve (or Grant admin consent)
- Confirm the approval
Once approved, users will be able to log in without additional prompts.
Active Directory (AD) is a directory service that Microsoft developed for Windows domain networks. It is included in most Windows Server operating systems as a set of processes and services.
You need to have:
- A fully qualified domain name (e.g. hospital.directcontrol.local - window login user would be user@hospital.directcontrol.local
- Users setup in AD
- Password CONTROL enabled with users setup in DCM
To enable Active Directory
- Go to Utilities - Configuration - Advanced (Support)
- Check Use LDAP authentication
- Key-in the fully qualified domain name
Then go to
- Utilities - Team Management
- Note the Domain User dropdown with active directory users listed
- Map the DC User with the Domain User
