A certificate or digital certificate is a unique, digitally-signed document which authoritatively identifies an individual or organisation. Using public key cryptography, its authenticity can be verified to ensure that the software or website you are using is legitimate.

The font colour of active Certificates is green. If a Certificate is near its Expiry Date, the font colour is black and if a Certificate has Expired, the font colour is red.
Adding a Certificate
- Select Add on the Sidebar to create a new row
- Key in
- a name for the Certificate
- browse to the Network Location Path to locate the certificate
- select the Certificate Type
Delete a Certificate
- To delete a certificate, select the certificate on the list
- Click on the Delete button on the sidebar
- Click Yes to the prompt.
- You will see a prompt if a certificate has been successfully deleted
Renew a Certificate
- Select a certificate on the list
- Click on the Edit button on the sidebar
- Change the Network Location Path of the selected certificate to the location of the new certificate
- Enter the password. If the correct password is entered, it will generate a Serial Number
- Ensure that the Store Location and Store Name are correct
- Click the Save button to save
Expired Certificates
You can view the expiry date of each certificate in the Expiry Date column in the grid. Or you can also select a certificate from the list, and you can view the Expiry Date from the control.

Getting the NASH Certificate
The NASH Certificate is used to securely access and share health information, such as

Request and Download a National Authentication Service for Health (NASH) | Australian Digital Health Agency SHA-2 Certificate
- Log into your PRODA Account - PRODA (Provider Digital Access) - Services Australia
- Select Go to service on the Health Professionals Online Services (HPOS) tile
- Select My Programs
- Select Healthcare Identifiers and My Health Record System
- Select Healthcare Identifiers - Manage Existing Records
- Select My organisation details from the list
- In the Organisation snapshot, select the Certificates tab
- Select Request a NASH PKI site certificate
- Complete the required information from the Request Form
- You will be notified when the certificate is ready to download via a text message to the mobile phone provided in the request form containing the PIC. You may use this PIC code to download the certificate, by clicking on the blue hyperlink under the Action column
eRx Certificate
Providers must register with eRx to obtain the eRx certificate and their Entity ID at Homepage - eRx Script Exchange
