DCM integrates with www.redoxygen.com for sending and receiving SMS.
Go to www.redoxygen.com and select Free Trial to start and ensure you select DCM Medical to get the best plan.
You will need a mobile on hand and know what email address you want to use.
Red Oxygen will provide you with an Account ID and Password. These details are then entered in Utilities - Configure - SMS
This currently needs to be setup on each workstation.
In order to receive and display SMS responses in DCM, select the iMAP Server Outlook and then select [Sign In]
You will be prompted to enter your Outlook email account. The same as the email address you supplied to RedOxygen and entered above.
- Enter your password for this email account
- Select [Sign In]
- You can test that all is working as it should by selecting [Test iMAP]
Automatic Reminders
If wanting to send automatic reminders, tick that box and the number of days to send before the appointment.
Know that SMS will not be sent to Clients who do not have SMS OK ticked next to their mobile number. In Utilities - Configure - General there is a tick box for Default 'Yes' for SMS/Email OK but ensure your clients have the option to 'opt out'
- Select Edit the Auto SMS text button to setup the text of your SMS Reminder
On a client responding to this SMS, the Appointment Confirmation column will change to YES or NO or VIEW. VIEW means that they have not responded with a YES or NO but have texted you more detail. This response is saved in Client Communcations.
Once set up, you can send one or bulk appointment reminders. You can also right-click on any mobile number and select Send SMS resulting in a form opening for you to either free text a message or select a template.
RedOxygen have several other products you may find of use.
