DCM regularly release software updates. 

When you first open the DCM icon on your desktop, you will see a prompt appear. DCM recommends you always accept the update after your overnight backup. So, first thing in the morning before you log in is the perfect time to take the update.

Press OK

Options 

• Backup Now - If you want to do a backup prior to the update
• If you click on close, you will get the below prompt to continue or cancel the Software Update. Recommend you select No if you have not done a Backup
• Update Later - If you want to update later, you will be taken back to the splash screen
• Update Now - Update now, you will follow steps to update software
• Select Yes
• Tick 'I accept the agreement'. If this is not ticked, the Next button will not appear to move to the next step
• Tick or leave ticked to create a desktop shortcut (recommended)
• Select Install
• Press OK to close all DCM applications and continue with the update
• The Files will load and you will see the bar fill Green when complete
• Select Finish and it will take you back to the splash screen and start running scripts (can see this written in white at the bottom of the screen)
• When scripts have finishing running, you will see the splash screen writing in green with a successful update message
• You are ready to login and Take CONTROL
• What is New - You will be taken to Our Website, Help Desk section to view articles on Versions of DCM. You can also view these articles by going to Links and Support in the right-hand menu once logged into DCM and go to What is new? – Direct CONTROL Medical (DCM)
