Client Communications can be extracted to a folder. This feature is used by many using SQL Express in order to reduce the size of the database.
Reference to the files can still be viewed in Client Communications with the Status Extracted.
Selecting Manage on the sidebar takes you to the extracted files.
After a successful extract, you have the option to Delete the Files from the database. Reference to the file will still exist in Client Communications with the Communication Status Deleted. Do this if you are running SQL Express with database limitations or you are wanting to archive files.
NB - A file can be restored by drag and dropping back to DCM Communications tab of a client. Locate the file or document through File Explorer (search option top right with the CLient ID) then drag and drop to Communications tab in the client file.
