Even though DCM has its own Clinical Module, some choose to use another.

• On Client demographics being entered into DCM or updated a patients.in file is created and read in by the other application
• The location/path of this patients.in file is saved in Utilities - Configure - Integrations - patients.in File

• This location/path needs to entered into MD ... Links Options (medicaldirector.com)

Create Alternative patients.in files

• Once read in, the patients.in file is deleted
• However, DCM has a number of clients with multiple applications wanting to read in the patients.in file
• This is managed by selecting Create alt patients.in file and adding the number of additional files to be created
• Currently, this results in multiple folders being created under the path above
