Getting the NASH Certificate
The NASH Certificate is used to securely access and share health information, such as
- My Health Record | Australian Digital Health Agency
- Healthcare Identifiers (HI) Service for health professionals - Services Australia
- Secure messaging | Australian Digital Health Agency
Request and Download a National Authentication Service for Health (NASH) | Australian Digital Health Agency SHA-2 Certificate
- Log into your PRODA Account - PRODA (Provider Digital Access) - Services Australia
- Select Go to service on the Health Professionals Online Services (HPOS) tile
- Select My Programs
- Select Healthcare Identifiers and My Health Record System
- Select Healthcare Identifiers - Manage Existing Records
- Select My organisation details from the list
- In the Organisation snapshot, select the Certificates tab
- Select Request a NASH PKI site certificate
- Complete the required information from the Request Form
- You will be notified when the certificate is ready to download via a text message to the mobile phone provided in the request form containing the PIC. You may use this PIC code to download the certificate, by clicking on the blue hyperlink under the Action column

- Under the My Linked Services is Health Professional Online Services (HPOS). Click Go to Service

- Select My Programs

- Select Healthcare Identifiers and My Health Record
- If you are new to HI Services and do not currently have a HPIO number, select Healthcare Identifiers – Register Seed Organisation to obtain one.
- Select Healthcare Identifiers - Manage existing Records
- Select My Organisation Details
- Select your Organisation from the list and then the Certificates tab
- Select Request a NASH PKI site certificate
- From the drop-down list select the Software Product Direct Control version 20 or higher
- Select the Mobile Number from the drop-down list to receive the Personal Identification Code (PIC) for the NASH Certificate
- The following form may have been updated since captured
- On confirming your request, select Submit
- Once you have submitted the request, the NASH Certificate will have a Status of Pending. You will receive a text to the nominated mobile number that the certificate is ready to be downloaded.
- Select Download
- This will save to the \\Downloads folder
- Move this to \\DirectCONTROLServerFiles\Certificates
