DCM utilises HL7 (Health Level 7) for sending and receiving messages/documents (letters, referrals, results). Messages can be sent directly to the Receiver or received directly from the Sender within DCM. Integration with HealthLink or Medical Objects is optional.

Due to the many Upstream Apps that can feed into DCM, their requirements vary. Best to work with the Upstream App IT folk and support@directcontrol.com.au to ensure settings are correct.

HealthLink (HL)

HealthLink is another matter.

DCM did integrate with Argus CONNECT which HL has purchased from Telstra Health and HL are slowly moving all Argus users to HealthLink.

Medical Objects (MO)

MO has an app for documents to feed into and from there to DCM. MO also has a Word-Plugin so that on generating a Word Document within the Client Record in DCM, selecting MO - Send transmits the document to the Receiver.
